Silay drug suspect yields P761K ‘shabu’

BACOLOD City – A man was found with suspected shabu valued at P761,600 following his apprehension in a drug buy-bust operation in Silay City, Negros Occidental.

The suspect, identified as Ronilo Santillan, 35, a resident of the city, was found in possession of 15 plastic sachets containing more or less 112 grams of suspected shabu and P3,000 in buy-bust money.

The police operation against Santillan was carried out in Silay City’s Hacienda Colisap 2, Barangay E. Lopez at 2:28 p.m. on Tuesday, March 5.

According to the Silay City Police, Santillan had been under surveillance for some time due to alleged illegal activities in the area.

It was also reported that the suspect resisted arrest and allegedly threw objects at the police during the operation.

Santillan will face charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
