BACOLOD City – For violating the election gun ban, a man was arrested in Barangay Rizal, Silay City, Negros Occidental.
He was the 21-year-old Christian Flores of Barangay Guinhalaran, Silay City, a police report showed.
Flores was caught around 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday after police officers recovered from him a .38-caliber revolver with serial number 91954 loaded with three bullets, the report further stated.
Flores was on board a Canter truck when police officers frisked him. An informant tipped off the police that Flores was carrying a gun inside his sling bag.
Flores was detained at the Silay City police station lockup facility and facing charges for violation of Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act./PN
