BACOLOD City – He was listed as the most wanted person in the police station of Sipalay City, Negros Occidental.
The 27-year-old Marvin Galpo, who had been hiding from the police for about seven years, was caught on the strength of an arrest warrant for rape, a police report showed.
Galpo was arrested in his residence at Barangay Gil Montilla, Sipalay City around 2:20 p.m. on Wednesday, it added.
Police officers served the warrant issued by acting Judge Fernando Elumba of the Regional Trial Court Branch 61 in Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental dated Aug. 17, 2012.
Galpo was detained in the Sipalay City police station’s lockup facility.
The court recommended no bail bond for his temporary liberty./PN
