BACOLOD City – The two fishermen rescued in the waters of Zamboanga del Norte have returned home in Sipalay City, Negros Occidental.
“All is well,” said Executive Assistant Dionilo Bogtae of the Sipalay City government.
Alex Alagao and Rico Norquia were brought to the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Negros Oriental headquarters in Dumaguete City a day after the rescue.
Officials of the local government of Sipalay City fetched the two from there yesterday morning.
Alagao and Norquia battled hunger, thirst and fear for nearly a week on a tiny boat that drifted to the Sulu Sea.
They were rescued off the coast of Siocon town in Zamboanga del Norte. Their fishing boat F/B Best Friend had an engine trouble./PN
