MANILA – The mother of deceased flight attendant Christine Angelica Dacera has called on the alleged perpetrators who remained at large to surface if they are innocent.

Sharon Dacera said she was stunned when she learned the passing of her daughter on New Year’s Day as she was able to talk to her earlier that day.

Kung inosente kayo, lumabas kayo,” Sharon said in a press conference on Tuesday. “Ang sakit-sakit pa ring i-accept ang nangyari sa anak ko.”

“The only thing I can’t do is I want to have my daughter but her life is no more. Ilalaban kotong anak ko,” she added.

Hindi deserve ni Christine ‘yung brutality na ginawa. Dapat maparusahan sila,” Sharon furthered. “She’s a promising girl. Mabait ang anak ko.”

Atty. Brick Reyes, Dacera family’s spokesperson, said there was enough probable cause for rape and that drugs were used on Christine prior to her death.

“We have more than enough probable cause (for rape) for the fact she sustained these injuries in her legs and arms,” Reyes said. “Drugs were used and she was abused prior to her death. That is why we charged the respondents with rape and homicide.”

Reyes also narrated that Christine booked a room at a hotel in Makati City with her fellow workers on Dec. 31 but several others joined in later.

“Between 6 to 10 in the morning of Jan. 1, Christine had already experienced intoxication and she complained that her drinks appeared to have been spiked so subsequently between 6 to 10 in the morning she already collapsed and they tried to use CPR on her until they couldn’t revive her,” Reyes said.

“At 12 they brought her to Makati (Medical Center) where she was pronounced dead,” he added. “We are arguing that this incident… it’s not just a commission of one or two persons but a group of persons who should be held accountable.”

“The aneurysm can be a result of the assault. Her drink was also spiked,” he furthered. “Hindi na-factor in ang hematoma. We want an independent post-mortem report from a different medico-legal.”/PN
