ILOILO City – A sleeping construction worker was stabbed around 9:45 a.m. yesterday in Avanceña Village, Barangay Dulonan, Arevalo district.
Ruel Robles, 35, of Escalante City, Negros Occidental sustained a wound on the chest and right arm.
He was taken to the Western Visayas Medical Center in Mandurriao district.
A suspect has been identified – Robles’ colleague, Francis Villareal, 35, of Barangay Jibolo, Janiuay, Iloilo.
Villareal fled after the stabbing. As of press time, his location was unknown.
A manhunt operation has been launched. Arevalo police station’s Senior Inspector Tranquilino Querubin is leading it./PN
