CAPIZ – A father lost his life trying to pacify his sons mid-fight in Sitio Hacienda, Barangay Bitoon, Ilawod, Cuartero town.
Police only identified the victim as 53-year-old “Ruben,” who died at the Roxas Memorial Provincial Hospital in Roxas City.
According to the initial investigation of the Cuartero Municipal Police Station (MPS), 30-year-old “Joven” and his 24-year-old brother “Jori” were in a heated argument at a relative’s occasion on Oct. 1.
Their father immediately stepped between his sons, but Joven stabbed Ruben in the chest, police said.
Meanwhile, Jori was treated at the Senator Gerardo M. Roxas Memorial District Hospital in Dao town for minor injuries.
Joven, who was in the custody of Cuartero MPS, claimed he regrets his actions./PN
