BACOLOD City – A 37-year-old man landed in a hospital after he was stabbed in Barangay Tibsoc, San Enrique, Negros Occidental, a police report showed.
Resident Gerson Braca, 37, received medical treatment at the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital in Bacolod City.
He sustained stab wounds on the different parts of the body, police said.
The suspect was identified as 36-year-old Joelito Magquelan of Pontevedra, Negros Occidental.
According to investigation, Magquelan and Braca were having a drinking session when Magquelan stabbed the latter after a heated argument ensued between them around 10 p.m. on Thursday.
Officers of the municipal police station conducted a manhunt operation for Magquelan’s arrest who fled after the incident./PN
