BACOLOD City – A resident of Sagay City, Negros Occidental was stabbed inside his house in Yolanda Housing Phase 2, Barangay Paraiso, early yesterday morning.
The 38-year-old Kristian Bacay was able to mutter the suspects’ names before he died at the Alfredo E. Marañon Sr. Memorial District Hospital.
According to the Sagay City police, Bacay went to his brother Kenny’s house around 7 p.m. on Wednesday for a drinking session. At around 1 a.m., the victim was seen returning home when a motorcycle arrived and parked outside a few minutes later.
Neighbors then heard an argument before seeing two individuals exiting the house and boarding the motorcycle.
Bacay named suspects Botchoy Bascones and Jepy Salgado.
A follow-up operation by the Sagay City police resulted in Salgado’s arrest, although he denied the allegation.
Bascones, meanwhile, was being hunted down as of this writing.
The Sagay City police believed the stabbing may have been due to old grudges./PN
