MANILA – Stallion Laguna Football Club showed that it is serious in contending in the 2020 Philippines Football League after securing the services of Philippine U-22 Azkals member Griffin McDaniel.
McDaniel, who formalized his commitment with the Biñan-based football club over the weekend, said that it was not a hard decision for him to sign up with the Ernest Nierras-mentored squad.
“You won’t find another team in the league with the same drive each game to go 90 minutes all out like Stallions. The Stallion way is pouring your heart and soul out onto the field and it attracted me the most when choosing clubs,” McDaniel said.
“I’m very eager and excited to start this journey with this great club and hope to do great things for them and the fans this season and hopefully more to come,” added the former Cal Baptist Univeristy midfielder.
This will not be the first time for McDaniel to play in the league after suiting up for the Philippine U-22 Azkals during the 2019 Copa Paulino Alcantara late last year.
The 20-year-old McDaniel was part of the Azkals team that competed in last year’s Southeast Asian Games where they nearly made it to the semifinals round if not for goal difference./PN
