BACOLOD City – Nine drug suspects were arrested in a sting operation in Barangay 2.
They were identified as Joan Cañete, Melissa Lubunan, Bernardo Francia, Jerry Igalangga, Reymark Sombilla, Bryan Artus, Jundi Abaw, and Steve Bachoco, a police report showed.
Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency staged the operation on Friday.
When frisked, one of the suspects yielded an improvised shotgun or sulpak, the report added.
The suspects were detained in the lockup cell of Police Station 2, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
