BACOLOD City – A man was arrested for alleged illegal gambling and for possessing suspected shabu around 1:15 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 16, in Barangay East, Candoni, Negros Occidental.
Jeorge Pasman, 37, is a resident of the aforementioned place.
Candoni police said Pasman was apprehended for alleged illegal collection of Small Town Lottery (STL) bets using an invalid identification card.
Police also seized from the suspect three plastic sachets of suspected shabu.
The suspect was detained at the Candoni police station.
He faces charges for violation of Republic Act (RA) 9287, or the law that amends Presidential Decree 1602, which imposes a penalty to any person taking part in all forms of illegal gambling, and RA 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
