BACOLOD City – Police seized two fighting cocks from a resident of this city.
Joelo Valdez, 32, was accused of stealing them from a farm in Barangay Nabali-an, Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental.
According to investigation by the Himamaylan City police station, Valdez “forcibly entered” Monggoos Farm on April 11 by cutting the backyard cyclone wire fence.
The suspect then cut the cords tied to the fighting cocks and placed the animals into a sack, said the police.
JR Hontiveros, the 20-year-old farm caretaker, caught the suspect.
The Himamaylan City police took the suspect in custody./PN
