ILOILO City – A stray bullet hit a house on Block 17, Lot 11, Barangay PHHC, Mandurriao district at about 12:02 a.m. on Dec. 25.
According to Jesa Christine Tamayo, they heard bursts of gunfire at midnight, and soon after there was a loud thud on their roof and floor.
Tamayo then informed the Mandurriao police station and the police personnel, who immediately went to the area.
An investigator confirmed that an unknown slug hit the floor of the Tamayos’’ house, passing through their ceiling.
No one was injured in the incident, but Tamayo said family members became anxious.
“Mga taga-housing Mandurriao halong gid kamo,” Tamayo warned the public in a Facebook post.
The recovered slug was turned over to the evidence custodian of the PRO-6 for ballistic examination.
The case will be thoroughly investigated by the Mandurriao PNP./PN
