BACOLOD City – Police arrested a laborer in a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay 9, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental.
The 36-year-old Mark Anthony Nida, a street-level drug target, sold suspected shabu to an undercover officer for P500 around 12 p.m. on Friday, a police report showed.
Niday – a resident of Barangay 1, Kabankalan City – was nabbed at AHS Pension House along Mabini Highway, the report added.
A team led by Senior Inspector Reynaldo Severino staged the sting operation.
Recovered from Niday’s possession were four sachets of suspected shabu valued at around P3,500.
Aside from these, drug paraphernalia and P2,400 cash believed to be proceeds from illegal drug transactions were also confiscated from Niday.
Niday was detained at the Kabankalan City police station lockup facility.
He was facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
