ILOILO City – This capital city’s Public Safety and Transportation Management Office (PSTMO) appeals to motorists to further stretch their patience amid the heavy traffic that the holiday rush is expected to cause.
One example is the traffic jam in City Proper last Friday. The road had been flooded with vehicles carrying either “last-minute” shoppers or holiday partygoers, said PSTMO head Jeck Conlu.
“Nagaayo kita sang gamay nga paghangop sa aton mga motorists nga palabaon gid nila ang ila pasensya,” he stressed, adding that impatient drivers are likely to figure in road accidents.
The PSTMO chief said there were two collisions on Friday – one on Diversion Road in Mandurriao district and the other, on Delgado Street in City Proper.
“Palabaon gid tani nila ila pasensya kay the more nga nagadali ka, dira ka pa madisgrasya,” Conlu said.
Meanwhile, the PSTMO head said they have not implemented any road closures relative to the holiday celebrations./PN
