POLITICIAN Javi Benitez confirmed that he and actress Sue Ramirez have indeed parted ways, revealing that the breakup happened four months ago.
The Victorias City, Negros Occidental mayor said this in a statement released via his social media pages on Saturday, November 9, a day after Ramirez and her fellow actor Dominic Roque were seen seemingly kissing in Siargao.
“For the last five years, as Inday Sue and Toto Javi, two Negrosanons from different worlds, we built a world of our own,” Benitez began. “It was full of love, dreams, laughter, and all the ups and downs in a relationship where you shared your life with someone.”
Benitez underscored that there were “no outside forces” in their relationship, “just two hearts finding their way together.”
“Four months have passed since our paths quietly and respectfully went their separate ways,” he disclosed. “I look back with so much gratitude for the smiles, the laughter, and all the little joys we shared.”
The politician then went on to describe Ramirez as a “beautiful soul, a gem in the entertainment world and a true talent.”
“I wish her nothing but happiness and the love she deserves. Here’s to those good times, held close to my heart and to the grace of whatever lies ahead,” he stated.
“I hope she continues to share her God-given talent with many more, touching lives as she has touched mine,” he concluded, without saying the reason behind their split.
Meanwhile, Ramirez is moving forward with life, seemingly responding to the confirmation that she and actor-politician Benitez ended their five-year romance.
While Ramirez has yet to address her breakup with Benitez, she caught the eye of netizens after sharing photos of herself enjoying her getaway at a resort in Siargao.
The actress was seen enjoying a meal at a restaurant, interacting with friends and posing for photos.
“I love life,” she captioned her post.
In a separate post, the “Kingdom” star was spotted enjoying a swim at the beach while donning a floral bikini.
“If life isn’t a bit chaotic, you’re not living rock and roll,” she wrote.
