MANILA – Sun Yat Sen High School stretched its unbeaten run in the secondary girls volleyball of the 2018 Iloilo Schools Sports Association (ISSA) Meet at the Iloilo Doctors’ College Dentistry Gym in Iloilo City.
Sun Yat Sen improved to 4-0 win-loss card in Group B on Wednesday following a 25-17, 25-7 straight set victory over Saint Joseph School, which slid down to third place in the group with 2-2 card.
Bethany Life Christian Academy, meanwhile, finished off its campaign at 1-3 with a 25-12, 25-17 domination over fellow eliminated team Santa Clarita International School Primes (0-4).
In Group A action, CenterPhil Montessori Silver Knights also ended their campaign with a victory following a 25-11, 25-23 straight-set victory over also-ran Iloilo Scholastic Academy.
Meanwhile, Iloilo Doctors’ College finished on top in tertiary men volleyball eliminations with 3-0 win-loss slate following a 25-16, 25-13, 21-25, 25-23 win over University of San Agustin (2-1).
John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University was able to barge into the win-column (1-2) after a 25-23, 25-21, 17-25, 25-20 victory over Western Institute of Technology (0-3).
In the tertiary women’s category, SanAg clinched second place in the three-team field after a 25-17, 25-19, 22-25, 25-17 win over IDC (0-2).
WIT topped the group with 2-0 slate.
In secondary boys category, John B. surged to solo second place with 2-1 win-loss card after an easy 25-8, 25-1 win over Primes, which remained winless in three games./PN
