FOLLOWING her highly publicized past romance, actress Sunshine Cruz now prefers to maintain a low profile when it comes to relationships.
“After the very public relationship I had with my ex, I’d rather keep quiet na lang,” she said.
Asked about her current friendship status with her ex Macky Mathay, Cruz candidly replied, “No.”
While speculation surrounds Cruz’s romantic life, she chose to keep details private, stating, “I really don’t want to talk about it right now. Balato niyo na lang sa akin.”
Emphasizing her right to privacy, she said, “I don’t owe anybody an explanation when it comes to my private life.”
During the launch of her latest endorsement, Cruz also shared her commitment to self-care, highlighting her focus on adequate rest, a nourishing diet, and regular exercise, working out three times a week.
At 46, Cruz expressed gratitude for the continued support from brands that value her.
As a devoted mother to her three daughters, Cruz emphasized her active involvement in their lives, dispelling any notion of an empty nest.
“My kids are okay. Si Angelina (her eldest daughter) is in her last year at La Salle, a Dean’s Lister and First Honors. Si Sam is in her first year in college, also a Dean’s Lister with Second Honors. Si Chesca took the exam at Ateneo and got in,” she said.
As a single mother,Cruz is looking forward to celebrating Mother’s Day with her daughters and mother.
She encouraged fellow single moms to simply enjoy the day with their families, relatives, and children, emphasizing the importance of focusing on loved ones.
Reflecting on her own journey, Cruz shared, “Mag-focus lang talaga. Ako kasi ayun ginawa ko eh nung nahiwalay ako, nag-focus ako sa trabaho, nag-focus ako sa mga kaibigan na alam ko makakapagbigay advice ng tama sa akin. Because before you know it ayan na ‘yung anak ko mag-23 na si Angelina so enjoy niyo lang.”
When asked about her next acting project Cruz said doesn’t see herself going back to acting anytime soon as she is focusing on taking care of her daughters. (ABS-CBN News)
