KALIBO, Aklan – A drug suspect was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Biga-a, Malinao, Aklan.
Suspected shabu weighing about 2 grams was recovered from resident Roberto Emmanuel Ropero, police said.
According to police investigators, Ropero was nabbed after he allegedly sold illegal drugs to an undercover officer around 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
He was detained in the lockup cell of the Malinao police station.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, will be filed against Ropero. (With a report from Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region 6/PN)
