ILOILO City – A suspect in the death of a guest relations officer of a videoke bar in Barangay Igbarawan, Patnongon, Antique has been arrested.
The 33-year-old Jobert Tadhan of Barangay Abaca, Tobias Fornier, Antique was collared in his house, according to Inspector Felix Perez, Patnongon police chief.
One other suspect remained at large as of this writing.
A witness came forward to identify the two suspects who were then charged with murder before the Antique Provincial Prosecutor’s Office. The Patnongon police filed the complaint.
Perez declined to name the other suspect so as not to jeopardize an ongoing hot pursuit operation.
The 31-year-old Shella Mae Magluyan of Barangay Tucud, La Paz, Iloilo City died of fatal head injuries on Tuesday. She worked at Edensun videoke bar.
Magluyan was seen binge drinking with Tadhan and the other suspect hours before she was found dead on a ditch early morning on June 27.
The victim and Tadhan had a heated argument at the bar over unpaid lady’s drinks, said Perez.
“One the suspects even attempted to slap her,” added the police chief, citing the witness’ statement./PN
