ILOILO City – Police arrested a resident of Barangay Rizal, La Paz district tagged in a Black Saturday stabbing in Barangay Danao, City Proper.
According to complainant Noli Elentores, 29, of Barangay Nito-an, Guimbal, Iloilo, the 45-year-old Manuelito Peñazales attacked him with a knife around 8 p.m. in front of the Registry of Deeds.
Elentores sustained two stab wounds on his right side but still managed to run away from the suspect and board a jeepney.
He proceeded to Police Station 1 whose police officers immediately looked for and arrested Peñazales.
A nine-inch knife was recovered from the suspect.
