Suspect nabbed in Antique drug-bust

SAN JOSE, Antique – Police arrested a drug suspect in a buy-bust operation in Barangay San Angel.

The 21-year-old Robert Conlu Jr. yielded a sachet of suspected shabu, police said.

He was nabbed after he allegedly sold illegal drugs to an undercover officer for P800 around 10:20 p.m. on May 6.

Robert’s alleged cohort – his brother Mark Anthony – meanwhile managed to flee.

According to police investigators, Robert was a former drug convict. He was a beneficiary of the government’s plea bargaining agreement for drug suspects.

Robert was detained in the San Jose police station’s custodial facility.

Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against him will be filed against him./PN
