ILOILO City – Two women accused of swindling have been arrested.
The 60-year-old Evelyn Antipatia and Elena Navanes, 58, have been wanted for estafa charges, a police report showed.
Both were residents of Barangay Tinadtaran, Buenavista, Guimaras.
The Buenavista municipal police served them a warrant of arrest in their village at around 11:50 a.m. on Monday, a police report showed.
Presiding Judge Jeeli P. Espinosa of the 2nd Municipal Circuit Trial Court in Jordan, Guimaras issued the warrant just this April 10.
The court set the bail bond for the suspects’ temporary liberty at P4,000 each.
The suspects were brought into the custody of the Buenavista police station.
It was not immediately clear as of this writing if the suspects have posted bail./PN
