CAPIZ – A suspect in the death of Punong Barangay Frederick “Dikoy” Dullano of Pontevedra town has been named.
The victim’s mother Leny Dullano, in an interview over Bombo Radyo, named the suspect as Renante Banate, 43, of Barangay Monteflor, Pilar, Capiz.
According to Leny, Banate was positively identified by Frederick’s son.
A suspected driver of the getaway motorcycle was also named – Gilbert Berte, 27, of Barangay Balighot, Maayon, Capiz.
Berte was identified by a witness.
The Pontevedra police already filed a murder complaint against the two suspects whose whereabouts remained unknown as of this writing.
A reward money of P700,000 is being offered to whoever could give information leading to the suspects’ arrest.
Dullano, the town’s Liga ng mga Barangay president, was gunned down late afternoon on July 7 in crossing Isagani-Rizal, Pontevedra outside his house./PN
