ILOILO City – Two high-value drug suspects were arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Desamparados, Jaro district. Some 50 grams of suspected shabu valued at P340,000 were recovered.
Suspects Vicente Guirjin Pirote, 45, and Mark Lester Glenn Pirote Obregon, 32, both residents of the barangay, were apprehended on Thursday, Aug. 24.
“More than three weeks na naton gina-monitor ang duwa. Wala sila established nga trabaho kag amo ini ang ila source of income,” said Lieutenant Colonel Antonio Benitez, City Drug Enforcement Unit chief.
Both suspects had been arrested in 2016 for illegal drugs but availed themselves of a plea bargain./PN
