BACOLOD City – Around P510,000 worth of suspected shabu was seized from two drug suspects at Estanzia Subdivision in Barangay Mandalagan, Bacolod City.
The 44-year-old Rowena Ponce was in the police drug watch list.
Also arrested was 32-year-old Alter Hernaez.
The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO)-City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) confiscated about 75 grams of suspected shabu from the suspects at around 9:57 p.m. on Feb. 21.
BCPO-CDEU head Police Captain Joeven Mogato said Ponce was a high-value drug suspect while Hernaez served jail time for murder.
Ponce was placed under surveillance for a year, Mogato added.
The suspects are facing charges for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
