GUIMARAS – A minor died and another person was injured after a sport utility vehicle (SUV) overturned in Barangay Alaguisoc, Jordan, Guimaras around 3 a.m. on Tuesday, July 11.
The 16-year-old lad of Barangay Rizal, Jordan was declared dead at the Dr. Catalino Gallego Nava Provincial Hospital in Jordan for multiple injuries.
The 36-year-old SUV driver Esex Silloriquez, also of Barangay Rizal, is being treated at the same hospital.
Police Master Sergeant Arvie Lagutin, investigator of the Jordan Municipal Police Station, said the two were on their way home on a red Honda CRV from Barangay San Miguel when Silloriquez lost control of the steering wheel and hit a telecommunications company post.
The two were inebriated, added Lagutin./PN
