Tabuc Suba man clueless on reason for getting punched

ILOILO City – Nelson Macahilo was wounded on the upper lip and complained of pain on his right jaw.

The 35-year-old resident of Barangay Tabuc Suba, La Paz district sustained the injuries after a fellow villager punched him.

A police report identified the alleged attacker as Jessie Jayona, a 35-year-old of the same barangay.

He did not know why Jayona would attack him at around 10:30 p.m. on Dec. 4, Macahilo told the police. At the time, Jayona was drunk, the victim said.

Jayona cannot be reached for comment as of this writing.

Police advised Macahilo to seek medical attention. The incident was referred to the barangay lupon.

In the same district, a resident of a subdivision complained to the police that beer bottles were thrown at their house twice.

The 33-year-old Adela Juanillo said her family was “disturbed” and “annoyed” by the incident, a police report stated.

Juanillo told the police the first bottle was thrown at their house at No. 26 Mabini St., Jamerland Subdivision, Barangay Burgos at around 1 a.m. on Nov. 30.

Another such incident happened at around 11:30 p.m. on Dec. 3, the complainant said./PN
