CELEBRATING FILIPINO craftsmanship and culture, several beautifully curated products and delectable delicacies were showcased during the 2023 Tahum Pop-Up Festival.
Exhibitors from Iloilo, Bacolod, Antique, and Capiz organized by the Assumption Iloilo Educational Foundation Inc. and Assumption Iloilo, gathered at the Iloilo Convention Center in Manduriao District, Iloilo City on March 3 to 5.
Products from other regions, including Cebu, Davao and Manila, were also featured.
Assumption Iloilo Educational Foundation Inc. vice president Feliza Uy said they envision becoming the leading pop-up festival in the Visayas.
Their mission is to support and promote local artists and allow scholarship beneficiaries to pursue their dreams.
All net proceeds from the event benefit Assumption scholars.
Assumption Iloilo school director Sister Aremar Grantos said they give a full 6-year scholarship to incoming first-year students.
Currently, they are supporting 18 scholars from Grades 7 to 12.
Tahum Pop-Up Festival started in 2019.
This year’s event was also a first for the Local Economic Development and Investment Promotion Center of the Iloilo Provincial Government in terms of providing a good platform for local producers./PN
