BACOLOD City – Police arrested one of the top drug trafficking suspects in Barangay Zone 12-A (Poblacion), Talisay City, Negros Occidental.
Rodyard Tecson, 37, of Barangay Dos Hermanas, Talisay City was listed as the No. 9 target of the Talisay City police station in the campaign against illegal drugs, said Superintendent Adonis Rosales, station officer-in-charge.
In a buy-bust operation on Wednesday evening, police seized the following from Tecson:
* 13 plastic packs of suspected shabu
* weighing scale
* cellphone
* P600 cash
* P300 marked money
* drug paraphernalia
Police estimated the market value of the seized substance at P74,700.
It took the local police five weeks of surveillance before catching Tecson, Rosales said, adding that they learned that the suspect got his supply from this capital city.
