BAROTAC NUEVO, Iloilo – Tamasak Football Club clinched the crown in the 11-12 category of the 2nd JCFC-ELBFA Football Invitational Festival 2022 on Saturday afternoon at the FIFA Training Center here.
Led by Most Valuable Player awardee Jeur Mattheiu Derotas, Tamasak FC bagged the category championship after a 2-0 penalty shootout win over JCFC-A.
After ending the regular time at deadlock, Tamasak FC drubbed JCFC-A, 2-0, in the penalties via back-to-back conversions from Drystan Alexandrae Delgado Torres and Derotas.
Also part of the Tamasak FC 11-12 team were RJ Naysay, Michael Anthony Guay, Steven Gabriel Bingcang, Luke Gabriel Derotas, Von Adrian Guevarra, Rich Wayne Berdejo, Nolico Buenavista, John Rienald Prescia, and Kent Dominic Campo.
Serving as head coach for the Tamasak FC 11-12 team was Francisco De Asis. So-ol FC, on the other hand, finished with bronze in the category.
It was actually a double championship for the Tamasak FC franchise as their 9-10 category squad also captured the category championship with a 1-0 triumph over Jamindan FC.
Jeric Jemina was named as the MVP winner for the 9-10 category Tamasak of head coach Maimai Martinez. JCFC-C ended up with the second runner up honors.
Also part of the Tamasak FC 9-10 team were Nijel Cagampamg, Drex Martinez, Drax Celiz, Zaijan Belicena, EJ Braña, Khylle Yu, Lerven Almirante, Nok Dongor, Romeo Siaotong III, and Marvin Lestingo.
JCFC-A, on the other hand, topped the 7-8 category with a 1-0 win over Tubungan FC behind the lone goal of MVP winner Sebastian Araneta. Tamasak FC finished with bronze medal in this category.
Tubungan FC, meanwhile, bagged the 5-6 category championshop after beating Tamasak FC behind the strong showing of MVP Ray Mashid Dila. JCFC-A ended with third place trophy.
The two-day JCFC-ELBFA Football Invitational Festival was participated by football clubs from Iloilo City, Iloilo Province and Capiz./PN
