ROXAS City — A village captain in Capiz province was shot dead in Barangay Malitbog, Calinog, Iloilo Sunday morning.
Julie Catamin, 49, of Barangay Roosevelt, Tapaz immediately died of gunshot wounds on the body.
According to initial police investigation, Catamin was on his way home when two motorcycle-riding gunmen fired at him around 8:45 a.m.
Officers of the Calinog municipal police station were still investigating the identity of the suspects and the motive in the shooting./PN
