BACOLOD City – Bacolod Tay Tung High School wants to continue its tradition of representing Western Visayas in the Rebisco Volleyball League (RVL) National Finals.
Taytung volleyball team manager Jose Montalbo said the players are raring to showcase their talents in the RVL, starting with the city qualifier which is tentatively scheduled in October.
Should the tournament push through, it would be memorable for Tay Tung’s graduating volleybelles Alyssa Bertolano, Kiesha Bedonia and Ann Monares.
The other players in the Thunderbolts squad are Annikha Cabasac, Katherine Cortez, Aurea Claudette Alvero, Gwen Bañas, Amber Lily Biong, Sophie Cagalawan, Ysabelle Chua, Anthea Galicia, Anna Hermosura, Nicolei Galvan, Jermaine Joniega, Alex Montoro, Charlene Tayapad, and Alijah Ysulan.
Bacolod Tay Tung had a strong showing during the RVL National Finals last year. The Thunderbolts reached the semifinals before settling for fourth place following their defeat to Hawaii./PN
