BACOLOD City – Bacolod Tay Tung High School Thunderbolts’ A and B and Murcia team surged to 2-0 starts in the U-15 of Negros Federation of Volleyball Enthusiasts, Inc. (NEFVEI) age-group girls volleyball at the Montalbo’s Covered Court here.
Led by Nicolei Galvan, Sophie Cagalawan and Katherine Shaine Cortez, the Bacolod Tay Tung A cruised to victories on Friday over the WVRAA Meet-bound Negros elementary girls volleyball squad and Talisay B.
The Bacolod Tay Tung B, on the other hand, had the same start with wins over St. John’s Institute and Talisay A with strong performances from Jothea Ramos and Alex Montoro.
Murcia also won their first two matches against the FMT and Talisay B, while Don Bosco-Dumaguete won their first match against University of St. La Salle before bowing to Talisay A.
Other results were St. John’s Institute defeating the USLS and FMT also scoring a victory over the Negros elementary girls volleyball squad.
After the elimination round matches in the U-13 and U-15 categories on Saturday, the semifinals and championship match are scheduled today./PN
