BACOLOD City – For violating the election gun ban, a teenager was arrested in Barangay Jonob-Jonob, Escalante City, Negros Occidental.
The 18-year-old resident Jessa Mareduque yielded an improvised .357-caliber revolver with two empty cartridges and four live bullets, a police report showed.
Mareduque was arrested after she started a commotion around 6:56 p.m. on May 9, it added.
According to police investigators, she fired her gun several times and attempted to commit suicide.
She was detained in the lockup cell of Escalante City police station’s custodial facility, facing charges./PN
