ILOILO City – Three people including two teenagers were accused of stealing a motorcycle in Barangay 4, San Jose, Antique, a police report showed.

Police arrested one of the two teenaged suspects: a 16-year-old male from Barangay Trinidad, San Remigio town.

The San Jose police took him in custody. His two cohorts, one of them identified only as “Mac-mac,” remained at large as of this writing.

Carlos Requiron Jr., 20, reported to the police that his motorcycle, which he parked along Marina Street on Friday evening, has gone missing. He believed it was stolen.

Their investigation led the police to one of the suspects.

Officers were still searching for the remaining suspects as of this writing.

The police report stated that the suspects may be charged with violation of Republic Act (RA) 6539, or the Anti-Carnapping Act of 1972, but that law has been repealed by virtue of RA 10883, or the New Anti-Carnapping Act of 2016./PN
