SAN JOSE, Antique ā The two-day nationwide TVET (Technical Vocational Education and Training) Enrolment Day and Job Bridging Program will begin today at Robinsons Mall in this capital town.
Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) provincial director Jose Gerry Hallares encouraged all sectors to join the event, which aims to register 5,000 scholars in Antique.
The event is also aimed at bridging job opportunities for qualified TESDA trained skilled workers.
TESDA national secretary Guiling Mamondiong issued a memorandum that seeks to strengthen the promotion of TESDA programs, like the providing assistance to TVET graduates who are looking for jobs.
In the province, about six TESDA accredited schools and eight mobile training program providers offering Training for Work Scholarship Program will join the event.
The enrolment is open to those aged 18 years and older may he/she be an out-of-school youth, senior citizen, those under the drug rehabilitation program, and indigenous, among others. (With a report from Pilar Mabaquiao/PIA/PN)
