THERE is so much love, so much poetry in this blast from the past.
Really, just my September Project blog from 2015.
If you are just discovering this, and loving it, I hope you back read the first parts.
If you are following this series, and eagerly anticipating the installments, good for you.
For the rest of the world, well, this really isn’t for you, is it?
What are you going to do about it? Hmmmm? Haha!

Sept. 10 –
Dear future bf,
I’s been 11 days since the start of this September project.
Of course, I get bored waiting for you.
But I don’t want to accept just any proposal that comes my way.
I believe in you.
You just have to believe in yourself.
You have to try to contact me.
You have to at least “like” my posts. haha.
You have to give me a sign where to look.

Sept. 14 –
Dear future BF,
Sorry, I haven’t posted in a while. (Two days to be exact!)
It doesn’t mean that I didn’t think about you.
In fact, I should say that I was so busy thinking about you that I didn’t have time to Go online and publish a silly post.
***
What did i do in those two days?
Well, I have this literary project in Bacolod, but i don’t want to bore you with details right now.
Then, I hopped from one party to another hoping to bump unto you.
but you were not there.

Still, real life trumps online dating and courtship.
I’ll be gone again tomorrow and Wednesday.
I have another writing workshop and another radio interview in Bacolod.
Who knows, maybe this time you’ll be there.

Sept. 14 –
Dear Future BF,
I’m crossing the sea to lecture on writing in Bacolod City today.
I wish you were already with me.
In addition to writing, teaching others how to write creatively has become a passion for me.
It is something you must understand and embrace.

I don’t expect you to be an artist and teacher like me, but I want you to be prepared for a life with an artist and teacher.
These are some of the most thankless jobs in this country.
But we don’t have to deal with the poverty that comes with these professions.
We can live a little more comfortably than most, if you are not financially abusive.
What can I say?
I’m not as poor as I’m used to be.

Sept. 16 –
Dear potential BF,
I thought I already gave you my number while I’m in the Philippines.
Feel free to text or call me anytime you want.
[Update: Again, it is better to contact me online.]
***
Did you already have your passport?
Because I really want to have a nice traveling companion for a southeast Asian trip next month.
Think Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, etc.
I mean, I’m already paying for double occupancy in hotels anyway.
and you know that I wouldn’t deny anyone a meal if I am eating something.
***
If you are the backpacker type of traveler, we are a good match because I would rather spend time and money exploring local cultures and peoples than ‘staying in’ in fancy hotels.
It’s not a honeymoon.
It’s just a trip!

[Update: When I didn’t find a boyfriend in September 2015, I was seriously thinking about traveling Southeast Asia alone.
But an offer to sell (and for me to buy!) another farm property came to me.
I liked the idea of another farm.
If I don’t find a boyfriend, at least I’ll have carabaos and goats, eggplants and cucumbers. Haha.
***
Maybe I could have done both.
I mean, the trip and the farm.
But I decided on buying just the farm.
I made the Southeast Asian tour in 2017 and 2018. (To be continued)/PN
