PIOLO Pascual, Jericho Rosales, Diether Ocampo and Bernard Palanca had a virtual reunion on Saturday for a noble cause.
Except for Carlos Agassi who had a prior commitment, members of the all-male group “The Hunks” went online yesterday to participate in the third episode of “One Voice Pilipinas.”
Hosted by Matteo Guidicelli and Kean Cipriano, the online fundraising event aims to provide food to the less fortunate during the COVID-19 lockdown.
During the live broadcast, Rosales noted that a reunion of their group doesn’t normally happen and it was the first time they all got to catch up with each other again in years.
They recalled their most memorable days as a group and how being part of it changed their lives.
“The Hunks for me was at first, it was really a decision I made based on me needing to work. It was good opportunity for work,” said Palanca.
“After the first time we performed on ‘ASAP’ as a group, I looked at myself and said I think I’m in a boyband. Coming from the whole rock and roll band, it was a big jump that it took me a while to embrace. But the guys made it easy,” he added.
The boys agreed with Palanca that their time together is an experience they won’t exchange for anything.
“Masaya ‘yung grupo kahit na magkakaiba ‘yung personality, kita niyo naman na we all get along,” said Ocampo.
Since their group was formed in the 2000s, Pascual said nothing much has changed in their dynamics with each other.
“It’s really nice. We all got older but it’s same,” he said.
Although they have parted ways as a group, they have remained active on showbiz. They were last seen together during a reunion on “ASAP” in 2015.
Meanwhile, the group reflected on how this Luzon-wide lockdown is going to impact the lives of everyone.
“Kung titignan mo ‘yung bright side, we are all going to be more aware of our actions. I know there’s pandemic happening but it’s great to breathe fresh air, it’s great not to be stressed with traffic,” Rosales said.
“I hope everyone remembers the good things that happened during this bad time. I think the norm would be everybody will be more conscious about being clean, conscious about taking care of yourself,” he added.
By the time the members of The Hunks got off the virtual event, “One Voice Pilipinas” has already raised close to P9 million.(ABS-CBN)
