STRANGELY all the women surrounding former President Noynoy Aquino somehow have bad influence on the way he managed the national affairs; so unpredictable, so topsy-turvy.
No doubt Noynoy himself allowed it to happen knowing he could benefit from this. He made decisions according to their recommendation on which, most often than not, ended him in trouble if not total disaster.
It all started from the death of his mom, considered then the Joan of Arc of the EDSA People Power era. Cory was a woman full of grace, according to her followers. Her ascension to the presidency through use of force made her an overnight icon.
We’ve witnessed how Kris, the youngest of the Aquino siblings, took the opportunity of putting the whole citizenry under her spell at the height of her mother’s funeral. Noticed how she cried a river non-stop from the moment her mother’s casket was pulled out after the chronological service, and up to the time it reached to her final resting place to get buried side by side with Ninoy?
With all honesty I do not want to desecrate the memory of their parents whom they considered “the mother and father of democracy” but the urge of telling the truth is so strong; it was all nothing but a self-serving statement to capitalize their scheming goal in capturing the sympathy of the people to their political advantage.
Call it an innate intuition or me having a “third eye”, all those tears mixed with her thick mucus flowing abundantly straight from her eyes and nose gave me this cunning feeling that Kris did her antic on cue. Cameras can never lie, and sometimes it could expose one’s ill motive. Kris was captured by the cam several times without tears. Realizing she was on focus, tears automatically dripped continuously like a faucet.
People may not realize this but Kris Aquino can be a dangerous woman given the chance to hold a powerful position in government. She may look naïve and playful but this could only be a camouflage of her real being. Ever wonder why the mainstream media cover even the most trivial event in her life, from her youngest son’s circumcision to her eldest special child’s working out in a gym? She really knows how to play her game.
Kris has also committed a lot of “sins” against the Filipino people. Duping people is an ability she inherited from Cory. Some of her sisters cannot claim they, too, live an immaculate way of existence. They are their mother’s daughters. They inherited the latter’s penchant and greed for power, fortunes and notoriety. Not to mention their late father’s treachery. The only brother they have is living proof of what and who they are.
Lately, Kris admitted her interest to throw her hat in the political arena in the forthcoming 2019 mid-year elections. Her doing a flip-flop is nothing but a coy. She wants to test the water if she is really capable to fathom the depth of the political abyss or maybe spread her wings to soar high, see the vastness of the horizon as she has been indoctrinated at an early age by her kin who had long gone ahead of us but not after inflicting a never ending curse.
We, too, can never escape reality. Partly we are to be blamed for allowing the man to manipulate us and embrace his ideology. In essence, “we reap what we sow” – a biblical truth we had endured for so long.
Many believe though, that it may take another Marcos to break the spell. (roblesnelson339@yahoo.com.ph/PN)
