A HEALTHIER-looking skin is every woman’s dream. But achieving this is quite a challenge. During this pandemic, most of us just stay at home and we don’t have any urge to dress up. But this is not the right attitude. If you want to look young, you should have healthy skin.
Here are some skincare tips you should do while staying at home.
Apply sunscreen
This is maybe absorbed because most of us stay at home. But hey! While staying at home we are into gardening, plantita or plantito and mostly exposed to the sun. Applying a day before you are exposed to sunlight will play a key role in protecting your skin. Sunscreens can also reduce the risk of getting skin cancer and prevent sunburn.
Drink water
Drinking plenty of water will help you hydrate your skin. Drinking water is necessary to our body and it helps the nutrients reach the skin through proper blood flow.
“The truth is that when you drink water, it doesn’t automatically go to the skin — it hydrates cells once absorbed into the bloodstream and filtered by the kidneys,” explained Dr. Margarita Lolis, a certified dermatologist and Mohs surgeon at Schweiger Dermatology Group in Hackensack, New Jersey.
“So, at the cellular level, drinking water is great as it flushes the system and hydrates our bodies overall,” she added.
Avoid smoke and second-hand smoke
Toxins from cigarettes can damage the elastin and collagen. These two are the main components to keep your skin firm and supple. Destroying it will make your skin dry leading to wrinkles and premature aging.
Find a product that suits you
Finding a product is like looking at a needle in the haystack. There are lots of products that promise healthy skin but instead irritate or destroy the skin. Make sure to look for products that are organic and gentle.
One thing I find that suits this is the Mestiza Healthy Skin Soap, a tried-and-true, go-to product that’s guaranteed organic and ultra-gentle. Each bar goes through a cold process method (saponification) that ensures the benefits of all ingredients used are preserved in each bar to produce a 100% vegan, cruelty-free, locally made genuinely natural bar of soap.
The unique fusion of natural botanicals that make up the soap offers inherent benefits for your skin. Each bar is infused with extra premium virgin coconut oil, mixed with carrot, papaya, banana, and calamansi extracts. The combination of ingredients makes it ideal for sensitive skin – there are no harsh ingredients or chemicals. And the result is a product that you can rely on to effectively cleanse your skin by gently removing dirt and excess oil, leaving your skin clean, soft, and supple. It’s a single bar that can do it all for you.
It’s your choice
Using skincare products differ in skin types. Be sure to read and select products that suite your skin. As you know this may be good for me but will not work for you. Be always vigilant and careful on using too since this will affects you not just, physically but also mentally.
