ILOILO – A theft suspect was found dead in Brgy. Boray, Oton town.
Arnel Bornea, 22, was believed to have been summarily executed.
His body was full of bruises and stab wounds, said Senior Insp. Jigger Gemino, Oton police chief.
No suspect has been identified yet.
Bornea had a string of criminal charges that included robbery, theft and frustrated homicide, Gemino added.
“We could not pinpoint suspects because he had so many cases. But we are trying to our best to identity the perpetrators,” Gemino said.
The victim was last seen alive on Saturday with some friends.
In another story, a man was found dead in his boardinghouse in Brgy. Magsaysay, La Paz, Iloilo City.
Inigo Hugo, 24, was a resident of Cabatuan, Iloilo and worked at a mall in La Paz.
He was found dead by boarding mates in his room.
The police said Hugo likely died of natural causes. His body did not bore signs of injuries./PN
