BACOLOD City – An alleged thief in Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental yielded suspected shabu worth P150,000 when police arrested him.
Fifteen grams of the illicit substance were seized from Cothon Hilado, 28, of Barangay Su-ay, Himamaylan City during a body search.
Hilado and tricycle driver Robert John Gutierez, 27, of Barangay 4, Himamaylan City were caught for allegedly stealing two goats on Oct. 21.
A house help who saw them taking the goats from the backyard of Joemel Sanchez in Barangay Binicuil around 9:30 a.m. called for help.
Police Officer 2 Ian Roger Embarque, who was driving a motorcycle on the way to the station, caught Gutierez.
Hilado was arrested in a follow-up operation around 1 p.m. The goats were recovered, too.
Police said Hilado had been involved in previous carnapping, robbery and theft cases in Himamaylan City and neighboring areas.
Both were detained. They will be charged with theft, but Hilado will be slapped with an additional drug possession charge./PN
