KALIBO, Aklan – Get ready to hit the road in style as the local government of Kalibo and the Kalibo Ati-Atihan Festival Board celebrate the 2025 Kalibo Ati-Atihan Opening Salvo from October 4 to 6, 2024.
The sneak peak of the renowned Kalibo Señor Santo Ati-Atihan festival features street dancing, gathering of artists, running event, pageant beauties, food, and music acts.
Don’t miss the Ginuman Fest in Kalibo Pastrana Park on October 4 for an evening of great music to kick off the three-day celebration.
The food fest at Park Gazebo with a wide array of culinary and local delicacies and the 2nd Mayor Juris Cup Shooting Competition at Camp Pastor Martelino New Buswang will run from October 4 to 6.
On October 5, go all in in a local running event – the “1st Mayor Juris B. Sucro Hala BiRun Marathon” – which is scheduled at 1 a.m. for seasoned runners and beginners.
There will be a mass at Kalibo Cathedral at 8 a.m. followed by the blessing of the new Kalibo Pastrana Park stage and Children’s playground.
Be part also of the festivities as hundreds of Kalibo Ati-Atihan drummers return to the streets for the thrilling opening salvo showdown on October 5.
More than 3,700 drummers and 85 participating tribes and groups will pour onto the streets of Kalibo for the traditional street dancing and the rhythmic beating of drums.
The Opening Sadsad Salvo will begin at 4 p.m. at Paseo de Akean along Mabini Street and Desposorio Maagma, Sr. Street. The street dancing goes up on Mabini Street and ending at Kalibo Pastrana Park.
Kalibo mayor Juris Sucro and vice mayor Cynthia Dela Cruz will lead the opening salvo program at 6 p.m. followed by a fireworks display.
Turn on the spotlight as Philippines Pop Rock Royalty Yeng Constantino also performs live at 9:30 p.m. in Kalibo Pastrana Park.
On October 6 the candidates of Binibini ng Kalibo Ati-Atihan will be officially presented to the public in Kalibo Pastrana Park at 7 p.m./PN
