ILOILO – A driver and his two passengers were injured after their sport utility vehicle (SUV) crashed into an electric post in Barangay Padios, Sara, Iloilo, on Tuesday afternoon, February 11.
The Mitsubishi Adventure driven by Genesis Lopez, 35, from Panit-an, Capiz, was reportedly attempting to overtake a truck when the driver lost control of the vehicle due to high speed.
Police Corporal Joven Bajon of the Sara Municipal Police Station said the SUV veered off course and collided with the post.
Lopez and his passengers, Joemar Gutierez, 33, from Barangay Bulak Sur, Batad town, and Antonio Segullan, 49, of Barangay Maliko, Batad, sustained minor body injuries. They were recuperating at the hospital.
Bajon added that the road crash also resulted in the scattering of eggs on the road, which were being transported in the vehicle./PN
