CAPIZ – A bank security guard and two individuals were wounded after the issued firearm of the former accidentally went off on Arnaldo Boulevard, Barangay Baybay, Roxas City.
According to the initial investigation of the Roxas City Police Station, Norfy Balasa, 40, and a resident of Barangay Tacas, Pontevedra town, was cleaning his gun when it suddenly went off and hit two clients of the bank yesterday morning.
Jecelyn Aranas, 62, of Barangay Poblacion Ilawod, Panitan town, and Vincent Corros, 46, both sustained gunshot wounds on their legs. They were immediately brought to a hospital.
Balasa also sustained a wound on his hand.
Roxas City police said Balasa was taken into their custody while the investigation was ongoing as of this writing./PN
