Tigbauan cagers nab 3 titles in Wilson Basketball Pototan leg

BASKETBALL 3×3 teams from Tigbauan have claimed the overall titles in the 16-and-under and 19-and-under categories of the Wilson 3×3 Basketball Challenge Pototan leg recently held in Pototan, Iloilo.

Tigbauan Ninja Forces and Elite members Lester Valn Paraico, Sean Gencaya, Cairon Gain, and Meg Alaurin stamped their class in the 16-and-under category to claim the championship.

Tigbauan RC Hoop Warriors members Patrick John Gain, Hiljohn Cartagena, Rodney Paparon, and Jedrick Sean Tigres, meanwhile, were hailed as the champions in the 19-and-under category.

In the 13-and-under category, it was the Tigers United squad of Jason Mel Ferrer, Sander Bayona, Giovanni Semillano Jr., and Giant Gonzales who took home the category title.

In the 10-and-under category, St. John’s Institute-Bacolod White team of Tabby Aldwyn Espartero, Ryton Celis, Carlos Miguel Reonal, and Jacob Javelosa bagged the title by defeating the school’s Blue team in the finale.

The champions in the four categories will advance to the Wilson 3×3 Basketball Challenge National Finals to be held on May 11 at the Buendia Food by the Court in Pasay City, according to Pototan leg organizer Anthony Surabella.

Meanwhile, Wilson 3×3 Basketball Challenge Visayas head organizer Tobee Diaz de Leon said that the final Visayas qualifying leg for the National Finals will be at San Jose, Antique on March 3./PN
