BACOLOD City – Three persons were caught engaging in illegal gambling in Barangay Punta Mesa, Manapla, Negros Occidental.
They were residents Jennifer Dela Tore, 58; Jocyl Supida, 47; and Rodelyn Aguirre, 57, a police report showed.
The police chanced upon them playing tong-its around 9 p.m. on Jan. 30.
Recovered from their possession were P200 bet money and a deck of playing cards.
The suspects were detained in the custodial facility of the Manapla municipal police station, facing charges for violation of Presidential Decree 1602 that outlaws illegal gambling./PN
