Top drug suspect yields P180-T ‘shabu’

BACOLOD City – The No. 1 most wanted drug personality listed in the municipal police station of Manapla, Negros Occidental got arrested.

Suspected shabu contained in five plastic sachets valued at around P180,000 was recovered from the 30-year-old Marjhone Morales of Barangay San Pablo, Manapla, a police report showed.

Morales was caught after he sold the suspected shabu to an undercover officer for P6,000 around 9:30 a.m. on Sunday in Hacienda Aniceta, Barangay Tortosa, Manapla, the report added.

Joint personnel from Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, 605th Regional Mobile Force Batallion 6 and Manapla police station staged the sting operation.

Aside from the suspected drugs, drug paraphernalia, a .45-caliber pistol, two magazines, and 10 live bullets were also recovered from Morales.

Morales was detained in the lockup cell of the Manapla police station.

He was facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangeorus Drugs Act of 2002, and Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act./PN
